Tottenham Draws 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in Europa League Quarter-Final First Leg

UEFA Europa League

Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League 2025 quarter-finals, held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Frankfurt took the lead just six minutes into the match, with Hugo Ekitike scoring after winning possession in midfield and finishing precisely from the edge of the area.

Tottenham responded in the 26th minute through Pedro Porro, who scored with a clever backheel finish following a cross from James Maddison.

Despite dominating possession and creating several chances in the second half including shots from Lucas Bergvall and Rodrigo Bentancur that hit the woodwork Spurs were unable to find a winning goal.

The second leg will be played next Thursday, April 17, in Germany. The winner will face either Lazio or Bodø/Glimt in the semi-finals, with the Norwegian side holding a 2-0 advantage after the first leg.
